Military Medical Services started in 1941 with one physician, simple tools and some medicines.
- 1948
- The first front-line field dressing station was set up for the Jordanian Army in Beitunia near Ramallah. - Inauguration of Military Base Hospital at Marka.
- 1960
The Medical Services Training Center was set up at Base Hospital (Marka) .In 1992 it became the College of the Royal Medical Services for Allied Health Professions and was accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education.
- 1961
The Main Medical Stores were established to provide the RMS hospitals and clinics with medical & non-medical supplies.
- 1962
Princess Muna College of Nursing was established. The College started with 12 candidates, and by the year 2002 it had graduated 1376 nurses. In 1998 the College was linked to Mu'tah University to award a B.Sc. Degree in Nursing.
- 1963
The Second Field Hospital was set up in Zarqa which was renamed Prince Hashem bin Al-Hussein Hospital.
- 1967
First Field Hospital transferred to Irbid and became Prince Rashid bin Al-Hassan Hospital.
- 1973
King Hussein Medical Center was established as the main medical facility for the Jordanian Royal Medical Services.
- 1977
Princess Haya bint Al-Hussein Hospital was opened in Aqaba to serve all residents.
- 1981
Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein Hospital was opened in Kerak .
- 1983
On March 30, 1983 Queen Alia Heart Institute and the Royal Jordanian Rehabilitation Center were officially inaugurated.
- 1987
- Queen Alia Military Hospital was opened in Amman. - The Institute of Biomedical Technology was established to graduate biomedical technicians on a national level.
- 1992
Prince Zeid bin Al-Hussein Hospital was opened in Tafileh .
- 1997
A Psychiatric Care Center was opened on the campus of Princess Aisha Medical Complex in Marka, Amman.
- 2000
- Princess Iman Research and Laboratory Science Center was established. - Queen Rania Al-Abdullah Center for Urology And Organ Transplant was established.
