Al-Hussein Hospital (1973) is the oldest of the five hospitals of King Hussein Medical Center
It is one of the busiest hospitals in the country. Annual admissions exceed 25,000 patients.
The surgical department provides comprehensive consultations and surgical care utilising the most up-to-date techniques including minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery in all surgical sub-specialties with over 21,000 operations performed annually.
The medical department offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services in the fields of internal medicine, nephrology, respiratory medicine, hematology and oncology, neurology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, dermatology and venereology.
The ophthalmology department provides a wide array of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques including phaco-emulsification, radial keratotomy and corneal transplantation
The E.N.T. department in addition to offering the full range of services also provides a physiological training program for pilots.
The obstetric and gynecology department is one of the busiest in the hospital and management of infertile couples with assisted reproductive techniques such as IVF and ICSI is available.
The pediatric department provides expert medical services in the fields of general pediatrics and all its sub-specialties.
The hospital has a well-equipped radiology department offering a multitude of imaging techniques and interventional radiology.
